The carrier
GSJ – Society for Sports and Youth Social Work
The GSJ is a non-profit limited liability company. It is a sponsoring organization of the Association for Sports and Youth Social Work (VSJ) and an initiative of the Berlin Sports Youth. The GSJ is a recognized independent provider of youth welfare and works closely with the State Sports Association and the Berlin Sports Youth as well as its clubs and associations.
The GSJ projects look after children and young people in difficult life situations and are active in socially disadvantaged areas. The GSJ combines sport and youth social work. The offers prevent violence and promote social integration.
Sportjugend Berlin
As the youth organization of the Berlin State Sports Association, Sportjugend Berlin represents the interests of around 341,000 young members in almost 2,400 sports clubs in the federal capital. Sportjugend Berlin is also a recognized provider of independent child and youth welfare services and, in this capacity, sees itself as an advocate for all children and young people, regardless of whether they are members of a sports club or not.
In 1993, the Berlin Sports Youth launched sports-oriented youth social work projects as part of the special youth policy program “Youth with a Future – Against Violence.” With these initiatives, organized children’s and youth sports in Berlin expanded their activities to include the area of child and youth welfare.

My name is Dilim Onyia and I am delighted to be part of the spOrt365 team as a social media officer. This exciting project is all about the world of sport and about inspiring, informing and entertaining people. As a trained educator with a strong background in the situational approach, I specialise in responding to the individual needs of visitors and creating a tailor-made offer. I firmly believe that a personal and empathetic approach is crucial to building a vibrant and engaged community. In terms of sport, my roots are in basketball, but I consider myself an all-round athlete and am excited to bring this diversity to my commitment to spOrt365. Whether it's football, table tennis, billiards or table football - I am passionate about it and look forward to sharing this enthusiasm with you. Away from sport, my heart beats for the cinema experience and cultural events. I look forward to being a part of this exciting journey with all of you and exploring the world of sports together!

I am responsible for maintaining cooperation and organizing workshops at spOrt365. I love playing volleyball and would love to meet people with a similar passion. Although I still play actively in the league, I also enjoy my sport in an informal context, where performance is not important, but rather the community and the fun of exercise. I love sport in all its facets and have turned my hobby into a career. I completed my Master's in Sports Science in Berlin, a city that raised me and to which I gave my heart. I would like to contribute my knowledge and experience to make this city a more active and community-oriented place.

Dorien
Hello, this is Dorien Hoeksema, I am responsible for planning and design at Sport 365. I am happy to be part of the team and to work on creating a sports field where everyone can do sports. Coming together and being together is particularly important to me. It's not about who wins, but about getting to know each other and having a good time with lots of exercise.

Project management
Erik
As a teenager in Frankfurt am Main, I was able to learn how sport brings people together in both competitive and leisure activities. I have tried to pass on these experiences throughout my life as a trainer and mentor to young people. I have experienced how sport overcomes barriers. Professionally, I worked independently with my company for 25 years in the USA and internationally in the field of recycling and upcycling.
When many people had to flee to Germany in 2015, I had the desire to help bring people together through sport. Open and low-threshold sports opportunities are best suited for this. So in August 2016 I left the USA and my company to lead the integration and leisure program at ALBA Jugend and to plan the covered basketball court in the Jahn Sportpark. In May 2018 I then took over the sports management and coordination in Hangar 1 of Tempelhof Airport, where I worked in particular on building a community. In order to implement the vision of spOrt365 Community, I have been taking over the project management full-time since November 2020.
Moments when people at our events pursue very different sports and cultural practices alongside each other - swing dancing alongside basketball, young alongside old, Arabic alongside Bavarian - always make it clear to me what I want to continue to devote all my energy to.

Voluntary social year
Finn
My name is Finn and I am involved in this great project as part of my voluntary social year (FSJ). My main tasks are organizing and running the day-to-day operations. At the same time, I will be offering a fitness course once a week in the future. My passion is boxing. If you are in the area, please feel free to talk to me!

Project management
Jill
My motivation for the project comes from my enthusiasm for sport in connection with educational work. In recent years, after my training in sports event management and as a sports educator, I have worked in various educational contexts such as schools and projects in management and coordination. At SpOrt365, I am particularly looking forward to designing and establishing our new location in Berlin Gropiusstadt.
My passion is playing beach volleyball and I am looking forward to meeting you on the sand.

I am a sports educator in charge of the project. I am responsible for the supervision, implementation and planning of programs and events on all spOrt365 areas. I was born and grew up in the south of Berlin. As a 10-year-old, I discovered my love of sport through club basketball. Over the last 19 years, I have been able to gain experience and success in various basketball clubs. But even outside of the club world, I have a great passion for streetball and the culture associated with it. As a teenager, I spent the entire summer on the outdoor courts of Berlin. I have taken part in numerous 3x3 tournaments across Germany and even won a German championship title in 3on3 at the age of 17. I also followed my passion during my training and work as a businessman and worked for a basketball retailer for 5 years. I really appreciate the open and multicultural spirit of my hometown of Berlin and want to do my part to ensure that it continues. I have experienced basketball as a very open, diverse and social sport, where very different people can meet. Sport is a language that everyone understands! Therefore, I am looking forward to sharing this language and the joys associated with it with spOrt365 in the future.
